ECLIPSE: Total Solar Eclipse in Fairport: A Once in a Lifetime Opportunity In-Person

Be prepared for the coming Total Solar Eclipse visible from Fairport on April 8, 2024. On average, our town will only see a “Total” solar eclipse roughly once every 350 years. Learn how to safely view the eclipse. Are we prepared for the influx of people and traffic on that day? What memory will our children have of this great experience?

Presented by Bob Easterly, RMSC Technical Advisor Group. Fairport resident Bob Easterly is a retired engineer. He actively volunteers with a number of community organizations. Bob is past Treasurer and an active astronomer of the Astronomy Section Rochester Academy of Science, Technical Advisor to the Rochester Museum and Science Center (RMSC) and Official Eclipse Ambassador for the RMSC.

Co-sponsored by the Perinton Historical Society and Fairport Public Library.
