ECLIPSE: The Great American Eclipse 2024 In-Person

Join NASA Solar System Ambassador Jim Porter to discover the exciting, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that awaits us. On April 8th, 2024, the sun and moon will align for a total solar eclipse in Rochester, NY, the first in over 100 years. The last eclipse seen here in 2017 appeared as a partial eclipse. This time, we will see the main event as the track of totality passes right over our city.

Jim Porter worked for over two decades as an aerospace engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, and Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. His popular presentations are engaging and accessible for all ages.

Due to the limited number of Eclipse Glasses, the first 75 attendees will receive one pair of glasses at the conclusion of the program. You must stay for the entirety of the program to receive your glasses.
