ROC Code: Learn Python!

ROC Code: Learn Python! Online

Learn Python programming for free, in a virtual community-wide event! Students of any age (grades K-12) are welcome, and no prior experience is needed. Students will create a simple, fun, beginner-level project or game that will get them started on their coding journey! The one and a half hour session will be held over Zoom on July 8th and will be taught by experienced high school programmers from ROC Code! Students must make a Repl account before coming to the event. Visit https://replit.com/ to create a Repl account.

Registration is required to participate, and all students will need access to an iPad OR a computer to follow along.
 

Angel Tang and Vinay Pendri are students at Mendon High School. They are the founders of ROC Code, an organization striving to connect student programmers with those interested in programming to produce the next generation of computer scientists! ROC Code is partnering with the Fairport Library to bring this programming event to the community, but also offers one on one coding sessions for those who are interested in taking a deeper dive into programming!
