Parkinson's, Pesticides, and Policy: Understanding the Threats at our Doorsteps

Parkinson's, Pesticides, and Policy: Understanding the Threats at our Doorsteps In-Person

Join the discussion about the link between commonly-used pesticides and Parkinson’s Disease. Our panel of experts, including Dr. Ray Dorsey (URMC), Christopher Wainwright (DEC), and NYS Assemblymember Jen Lunsford, will offer insight about the relationship between certain pesticides and Parkinson's Disease, the current regulations of those pesticides, and related NYS policies. There will be a brief question and answer period and an opportunity for participants to brainstorm about system-level changes that could be made to end Parkinson’s Disease.

"Humans have successfully confronted other diseases in the past - when they did not know what was coming. Parkinson's is different. We know it is bearing down on us. So we have a chance to learn from previous fights and prepare."  ~from the book Ending Parkinson's Disease: A Prescription for Action

This program is a collaboration between Color Fairport Green and the Fairport Public Library.
